Legal & Policies

Return & Revision Policy

At StoreLab, every store is custom-built specifically for your business. Because our services involve digital work, design time, branding and setup tailored to your requirements, we do not offer returns, refunds or exchanges once work has begun or a project has been delivered.

No Returns or Refunds

All purchases made through StoreLab are final. This includes:

Shopify store packages
Website design services
Branding and logo design
Product uploads
Priority turnaround services
Any additional digital services or custom work

Due to the nature of digital services, completed work cannot be returned.

Amendments & Revisions

We understand that small changes are sometimes needed after delivery. Reasonable amendments can therefore be requested after your website has been delivered.

Examples of amendments may include:

Text edits
Colour adjustments
Minor layout changes
Updating images
Product information corrections
Small design refinements

Revision Limits

StoreLab includes up to 2 rounds of minor revisions after delivery at no additional cost. Additional revisions or major redesign requests may incur an extra fee.

What Is Not Considered a Minor Amendment

The following are considered new work and may require a separate quotation:

Full redesigns
Changing the business direction or branding entirely
Rebuilding major sections of the website
Adding large amounts of new content or products
Functionality not included in the original package

Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for reviewing all content, product details, spelling, pricing and information provided before final approval and launch.

POPIA Privacy Policy

Welcome to StoreLab. By purchasing our services or using our website, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. Services

StoreLab provides digital services including, but not limited to:

Shopify store creation
Website design
Branding and logo design
Product uploads
Ecommerce setup services
Related digital business services

All services are delivered digitally unless otherwise stated.

2. Project Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided as guidelines only.

Typical delivery times:

Standard projects: 3–5 business days
Priority turnaround projects: 1–2 business days

Delivery times may vary depending on:

Client response times
Delays in receiving required content or information
Revision requests
Public holidays or unforeseen circumstances

StoreLab is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete information provided by the client.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide:

Accurate business information
Product details and pricing
Images, branding assets or content where required
Timely communication and feedback

Clients are responsible for reviewing all final work before approval and launch.

4. Payments

All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR/R).

Payment may be required:

In full before work begins; or
As otherwise agreed in writing

StoreLab reserves the right to pause or withhold work until payment has been received.

5. No Refunds

Due to the nature of digital services and custom design work, all sales are final.

StoreLab does not offer:

Refunds
Returns
Exchanges

Once work has commenced or a project has been delivered.

Please refer to our Return & Revision Policy for more information regarding amendments and revisions.

6. Revisions & Amendments

Reasonable minor revisions may be requested after delivery.

Examples include:

Major redesigns or additional work outside the original scope may require additional payment.

7. Third-Party Platforms

StoreLab works with third-party platforms and services including:

Shopify
Domain providers
Payment gateways

We are not responsible for:

Platform outages

Subscription costs
Service interruptions caused by external providers

Clients remain responsible for maintaining their own Shopify subscription and related third-party accounts.

8. Ownership & Intellectual Property

Upon full payment:

Clients receive ownership of their completed store and approved deliverables
StoreLab retains the right to display completed projects in portfolios or promotional material unless otherwise agreed

Any third-party assets, fonts, themes or applications remain subject to their respective licences and terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

StoreLab shall not be held liable for:

Loss of profits or revenue
Business interruption
Data loss
Website downtime
Third-party service failures
Indirect or consequential damages

Clients use all services at their own discretion and risk.

10. Right to Refuse Service

StoreLab reserves the right to refuse or cancel services for:

Fraudulent activity
Abusive behaviour
Illegal or unethical business activity
Requests outside our scope of service

11. Changes to These Terms

StoreLab may update these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice.

At StoreLab, all services and products are delivered digitally. No physical products are shipped unless otherwise stated.

All completed work is delivered electronically through:

Shopify collaborator access
Email
Cloud storage links
Digital file transfer

Estimated Delivery Times

Typical turnaround times are:

Standard projects: 3–5 business days
Priority turnaround projects: 1–2 business days

Delivery times may vary depending on:

Project complexity
Client response times
Delays in receiving required information or content
Revision requests
Public holidays or unforeseen circumstances

StoreLab will make reasonable efforts to meet estimated delivery timelines but cannot guarantee exact delivery dates.

Client Requirements

Project delivery timelines begin once:

Payment has been received (where applicable)
Required information and content have been provided
Shopify access or necessary accounts have been supplied

Delays caused by missing information or lack of communication from the client may affect turnaround times.

No Physical Shipping

StoreLab does not currently ship physical products.

If physical products or merchandise are introduced in future, separate shipping terms and delivery policies will apply.

Delivery Confirmation

A project will be considered delivered once:

Access has been granted to the client; or
Final files or website links have been sent via email or agreed communication channels

Clients are responsible for reviewing all deliverables upon receipt.

Failed Delivery Due to Incorrect Information

StoreLab is not responsible for delays or failed delivery resulting from:

Incorrect email addresses
Incorrect account access information
Failure to respond to communication requests
Restricted or revoked Shopify access
